Loyalty Settings
Loyalty Settings covers the program-level parameters that apply across all points and cashback mechanics. These settings define how balance is converted to money, how foreign currency transactions are handled, and how A/B testing control groups are managed.
Score Exchange (Cashback rate)β
Go to Loyalty and Promotional engine β Points & Wallet β Cashback β New Cashback.
The Score Exchange defines the conversion rate between points and currency. It is configured per currency and applies whenever a customer redeems cashback at checkout.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | Internal name for this exchange configuration |
| Currency | The currency this rate applies to. One Score Exchange per currency. |
| Amount | How many currency units equal 1 point. Example: 0.01 means 1 pt = β¬0.01 (or 100 pts = β¬1). |
Examples:
| Score Exchange value | 1 pt = | 1,000 pts = |
|---|---|---|
0.01 | β¬0.01 | β¬10.00 |
0.005 | β¬0.005 | β¬5.00 |
1.00 | β¬1.00 | β¬1,000.00 (wallet mode) |
Money wallet mode
In accrual_mode: money, the Score Exchange is effectively 1:1 β β¬1 of wallet balance = β¬1 of discount. No conversion formula needed.
See Cashback for the full checkout redemption flow.
Cashback thresholdsβ
Also configured in Loyalty and Promotional engine β Points & Wallet β Cashback β New Cashback.
Thresholds prevent cashback redemption below a minimum balance or on very small carts.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
Minimum score threshold (score_threshold_cashback) | Minimum points the customer must have before cashback is available. Example: 1000 pts. Returned in the customer object of every cart response. |
Minimum cart amount (money_threshold_cashback) | Minimum cart total required for cashback to activate. Example: 10.00 (β¬10 minimum cart). |
| Configured combined discount cap per line | Maximum percentage of any single line's value that can be offset by promotional discounts plus cashback. Commonly configured at 50% by default, but configurable per company up to 100%. |
Currency conversion rates (Multicurrency)β
Go to Configuration β Loyalty β Conversions.
Conversion rates define the exchange rate between currencies for multicurrency programs β when a customer registered in one country buys in another.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| From currency | The currency of the cart |
| To currency | The customer's registration currency |
| Rate | Conversion multiplier. Example: GBP β EUR = 1.17 |
The engine uses these rates to normalize points calculations when the cart currency differs from the customer's registration currency.
Conversion rates must be kept up to date manually. Stale rates will cause points to be awarded at incorrect values for cross-country customers. Set a recurring review cadence with your Finance team.
Control groups (A/B testing)β
Go to Configuration β Plans β General.
The control group percentage determines what proportion of the audience in an Intelligent Delivery plan is excluded from promotions β receiving no campaign β in order to measure true incremental impact.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Control group percentage | % of the audience excluded from all campaigns in a plan. Typical range: 5β20%. |
The control group is held out automatically by the platform. After the plan period ends, Loyalty Insights compares the behavior of the control group against the campaign recipients to calculate incremental revenue and ROI.
Required before creating plans A plan cannot be created in Intelligent Delivery until the control group percentage is set here. This is a one-time setup step per company.
Points expirationβ
Go to Loyalty and Promotional engine β Points & Wallet β Points Expiration.
Configure when and how unused loyalty balance expires. See Points Expiration for the full reference.
Limits and budgetsβ
Campaign-level limits (budget caps, per-customer frequency limits, maximum discount per transaction) are configured within each individual campaign, not at the program level. See Limits for points campaigns and Limits for discounts.
