Instant Win
Instant Win turns specific shopper actions into surprise-and-delight moments. When a customer does something you want to encourage β a purchase, a birthday, a sponsored race β the platform runs a draw among the prizes you configured and, if the customer wins, delivers the prize automatically. It drives transaction frequency and spend with controlled cost: only a share of the qualifying customers wins, and you decide exactly how big that share is.
Instant Win differs from Games in who acts. In a Game (Scratch & Win, Spin the Wheel), the customer has to play: they receive a game participation and actively scratch or spin in the app. In an Instant Win, the customer does not play β the prize is awarded by chance, automatically, the moment the qualifying event happens. The two mechanics combine well: an Instant Win can award a game participation as its prize ("spend β¬50 and win a Spin the Wheel participation").
Three types of events can trigger an Instant Win:
- Cart β a purchase event, driven by cart logic: specific products, categories, or spend thresholds (e.g., every purchase over β¬50).
- Trigger β a platform-configured lifecycle event (e.g., a customer's birthday, their first purchase, or their registration anniversary).
- Custom Events β any external event sent to the platform (e.g., completing a sponsored race, logging into the app for the first time).
The evaluation runs automatically when the event is received: the customer app or POS does not need to make a separate "play" call.

How It Worksβ
- You define an Instant Win campaign with events (cart, trigger, or custom event), victory conditions (cart value, specific products, customer attributes), and a list of prizes, each with its probability. The probabilities of all the prizes add up to 100%, including an explicit No Prize option when not every customer should win.
- Whenever a customer's event matches the victory conditions, the platform checks targeting and limits and runs a single weighted random draw among the configured prizes.
- The result β the prize won, or No Prize β is returned as an
instant_wineffect in the response to the event. - If the customer wins, the prize (points, a Reward, or a game participation) is delivered automatically, with no manual step required. If No Prize is drawn, nothing is delivered and no notification is sent.
- Prize stock and participation limits (global and per customer) protect total campaign spend.
:::note Prize types in this release
Available prizes are Points & Wallet, Reward, Game participation (Scratch & Win or Spin the Wheel), and No Prize. Discount and Coupon prizes are planned for a future phase.
