Products

The Products group contains four dashboards that analyze performance at individual SKU level: how products are classified and ranked, how they evolve from launch, which products are bought together in the same cart, and how replaceable each product is in the assortment.

Navigate to Retail Analytics β†’ Products and select the relevant tab.

Products by Classification

Path: Retail Analytics β†’ Products β†’ Products by Classification tab

A comprehensive product-level ranking table showing all commercial KPIs per SKU. The primary reference for category managers and trade marketing teams to understand which products are driving growth and which are declining.

Product Concurrency

Key Metrics

Table 1 β€” Product Penetration:

MetricDescription
% Total PenetrationTickets containing the product / Total tickets. What % of all carts include this product
% Relative Incidence by ProductTickets containing the product / Tickets containing the product's category. How often the product appears within its category's carts

Product Substitutability

Path: Retail Analytics β†’ Products β†’ Products Substitutability tab

Evaluates the importance of each product in the assortment based on a configurable substitutability score. Helps make assortment decisions: which products can be removed with minimal impact vs. which are essential and hard to substitute.

The score is defined by the company using a weighted combination of metrics (default: Sales, Units, Customers). Higher score = more important in the assortment.

Score formula: Score = (Weight₁ Γ— Metric₁) + (Weightβ‚‚ Γ— Metricβ‚‚) + (Weight₃ Γ— Metric₃) where all metrics are normalized before weighting.

Key Metrics

Per-product table:

MetricDescription
ScoreWeighted composite score. Higher = harder to substitute
Variable 1 / 2 / 3The three metrics selected for the score formula (e.g. Sales, Units, Customers)
% Var. ScoreScore variation vs. compared period

The dashboard also shows context information about the selected features and category at the top.

:::note Configuration required The score formula (metrics and weights) must be defined per company before this dashboard is available. Contact Customer Success to set up or adjust the substitutability score configuration. :::
